bAGE: 22 HOMETOWN: Newcastle England CLAIM TO FAME: Played sexy Lloyd Haythe on the short-lived (but much-loved) TV series "Undeclared". SEE HIM IN: Two movies: In last month's "Abandon", he played Katie Holme's mysterious boyfriend. In the Dickens classic "Nicholas Nickleby" (out December 27), our boy takes on the title role. Four years ago, Charlie Hunnam's life changed--in a shoe store. "I was trying on tennis shoes and just dancing around and being a clown," Charlie recalls. "I'm a cheeky chappy, so I blow this girl a kiss." Turned out (kis-met!) she worked for a kid's show called "Byker Grove" and got Charlie a role. After that, he stared in the British version of the show "Queer as Folk" for two years, then went to Hollywood. His plan was to stay only for a few weeks. But since Charlie is a big believer in reading signs of the world, he changed his plans. See, while in La-La land, Charlie kept seeing the same girl over and over again. When he saw her a third time, it was at an audition. "I was going to get her number there." he says, "but I had a terrible audition! So I just left." Imagine his suprised when she called him a few days later (she plucked his name off the sign-in sheet and tracked him down!). Three weeks later, they were married (they recently split up but are still friends). Fate stepped in again a few weeks later: After his Undeclared audition, Charlie found his BMX bike stripped down to the handlebars! "But I got the job that day," he says, "and bought myself a car!"
